Admittance Policy

Parents wishing to enroll their child(ren) to Active Little People, must first schedule a tour of our facility and interview with our Director. Our school is small and close-knit and it is imperative that any new family accepted to our preschool understands and believes in our unique philosophy and environment. Communication is of the most importance, not only for the betterment of your child’s care and education, but for the school environment as well. Educators are on the same team as parents, and if the dynamics of the two groups do not flow effectively, your child will not develop to his/her potential. An interview allows both parties to decide if our school is the best fit for each family individually.

Daily Schedule.png

Our daily schedule provides a balance of structure and flexibility for young children. While we aim to follow it (refer to Daily Schedule), occasional adjustments may be necessary due to the unpredictable nature of working with children. We appreciate your understanding.

When picking up or dropping off, please consider our schedule. Ideally, avoid these times during quiet periods. If necessary, enter and exit quietly, as children may be resting. Those arriving during quiet time will be expected to rest or play quietly until the period ends.

Note that our regular schedule excludes trips, and any planned field trips will be communicated well in advance with written consent. Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining a positive environment for the children.

Parents are kindly asked to supply their children's meals. To ensure freshness, please include an ice pack in your child's lunch box. Be sure to pack enough food to sustain them throughout the day.

At Active Little People, we use positive discipline to encourage pro-social behaviors like taking turns and effective communication. We promote open discussions about feelings, offer positive reinforcement, and guide children in making choices. Our teachers strictly avoid punitive measures that may be harmful, ensuring a nurturing and respectful environment for all.
